The centre aims to provide high quality supported accommodation within a Christian environment that is both safe and secure allowing residents to live fulfilling lives in an atmosphere of freedom and friendship.
The centre staff will work with residents to enhance and develop their independent living skills and assist them in obtaining more independent accommodation.
Key Workers continually assess and endeavour to meet the needs (physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual) of each resident. Where appropriate residents will be encourage to seek support from other professional agencies, and assistance will be given to clients in making such referrals
Objectives
To work with the Reading Borough Council to meet the needs of local homeless men and women
To provide a quality building and facilities with the support of The Salvation Army Housing Association and The Salvation Army.

Save the Children (UK)
Save the Children works in the UK and across the world. Emergency relief runs alongside long-term development and prevention work to help children, their families and communities to be self-sufficient. We learn from the reality of children's lives and campaign for solutions to the problems they face. To gain expertise through projects around the world and use that knowledge to educate and advise others. Work is underpinned by the commitment to making reality the rights of children now enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
Scope
Scope is a national disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy. Scope's aim is for disabled people to achieve equality. Scope's four main priorities are: supporting children recently diagnosed with cerebral palsy (and their families) and ensuring pre-school opportunities; education support for children and young people with cerebral palsy and support for their families; support for disabled people in obtaining and retaining work; support for disabled adults in daily living and working in the local community. We also engage in research projects and campaigning for equality for disabled people
