The Bridgwater Way Community rewards finish on 30th September
We hope you have enjoyed using BetterPoints as part of The Bridgwater Way. You have contributed towards making your area a better place by walking and cycling more instead of using the car.
Here are some highlights from the challenge:
493 people downloaded the app
Over 44,000 activities were logged
You travelled nearly 50,000 miles saving 19,000 kilos of CO2
We have listened to your feedback and heard inspiring, motivational stories of your personal experiences. For example tap here to read about Colleen and how she was motivated by the Summer Treasure Hunt to get out to be more active.
Some feedback from users:
"I would just like to say thank you for motivating me to walk more, I have a disability which affects my right leg but love walking and cycling the best I can. You setting goals has helped me achieve. Thank you"
"It was nice to see the little goals being completed."
"It motivated me to walk every day."
So what happens next?
Even though The Bridgwater Way BetterPoints Community rewards will cease at the end of September, you can carry on using the BetterPoints app in exactly the same way as you are now. From 1st October you will automatically become part of a national BetterPoints Challenge, in which you will still have the opportunity to earn rewards. There is nothing for you to do except to continue to record your activities.
Any BetterPoints you have earned as part of The Bridgwater Way programme will remain in your account and any you earn in the future will be added to your balance.
There are exciting challenges running during the rest of 2019, and lots of ways to earn points, so keep up the good work.
Please note - The Bridgwater Way Business Challenge rewards will still run for the time being. If you work in the Bridgwater area please ask your employer for your unique 'Business' code to join in, or contact us if you have any questions via the in app 'Help' section.
